24/7 M25 breakdown recovery & tyre changes, junctions 25 to 27

  • Open 24 hours, every day
  • About 16 miles to junction 27 from our base
  • Hertfordshire & Essex

We cover the M25 between junction 25 at Waltham Cross and junction 27, where it meets the M11, in both directions, 24 hours a day. It's a straight run down the M11 from our base, and it's one of the busiest stretches of motorway in the country.

This section is a smart motorway, so breaking down here needs extra care. Get yourself safe first, then call or WhatsApp us. You'll get a price on the phone before we set off and an honest estimate of when we'll be with you.

Smart motorway: no permanent hard shoulder

The M25 between junctions 23 and 27 is an all-lane running smart motorway: the hard shoulder is a running lane all the time. If your vehicle has a problem, try to leave at the next junction or get into an emergency area. They're marked with an orange road surface and blue signs with an orange SOS symbol, and they're signposted ahead.

If you can't reach one and you're stuck in a live lane, keep your seatbelt on, put your hazards on and call 999 straight away. Don't get out unless you're sure you can reach somewhere safe behind the barrier. A red X sign above a lane means it's closed, often to protect a stopped vehicle.

If National Highways moves your vehicle first

If your vehicle is blocking a live lane, National Highways traffic officers or the police may arrange for it to be moved somewhere safe straight away. Once you and your vehicle are safe, call us and we'll take it from there: home, a garage of your choice, or a tyre change so you can get going again.

Tell us exactly where you are

Tell us whether you're on the clockwise or anticlockwise carriageway, the last junction you passed, and the number on the nearest blue driver location sign. In an emergency area, there's usually a sign with its own reference too. Sharing your location on WhatsApp is the quickest way of all.

M25 questions

Do you recover vehicles from the M25?

Yes. We cover the M25 between junctions 25 and 27, in both directions, 24 hours a day, including the M11 interchange.

What should I do if I break down on the M25 smart motorway?

Leave at the next junction or get into an emergency area if you can. If you're stuck in a live lane, stay in the vehicle with your seatbelt and hazards on and call 999. Once you're safe, call us.

Can you change a tyre in an M25 emergency area?

Only if it's genuinely safe to work there. Usually the safer option is to load your car onto the flatbed and change the tyre off the motorway, with a new tyre supplied and fitted if you need one.
